Thank you for your interest in Translation and Interpreting Research (TIR) which is the official journal of Research Institute for Translation Studies (RITS) at Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran, Iran. The journal accepts articles on novel advancements and current issues in the field of translation and interpreting.
1. Submissions to the journal must be made through our online manuscript submission system. To submit an article, the corresponding author is required to create a user account on the journal website. Once registered, an email message containing login details will be sent to the author, enabling them to submit their article via the online submission system.
2. Manuscripts sent to TIR should not be under consideration by any other journal; neither should they have been published in full or partial form in any other journal or full-length conference proceedings.
3. TIR employs a rigorous plagiarism detection process to ensure the originality of the manuscripts. As part of this process, manuscripts will be thoroughly checked using iThenticate. Authors are therefore advised to run a plagiarism check on their manuscripts before submission.
4. The length of the manuscript should be between 5000 and 7000 words, including tables, references, captions, footnotes, and endnotes.
5. TIR publishes articles exclusively in English, and there are no publication fees charged to authors.
6. The manuscripts should be checked for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar; accuracy and consistency in figures, tables, and references is a must. Manuscripts must also adhere to the following formatting guidelines:
- Document type: MS Word
- Document size: A4 paper
- Margins on all sides: 2.5 cm
- Main text font type and size: Calibri, 11 pt., regular
- Headings font type and size: Calibri, 11 pt., bold
- Line spacing: single
- Space before paragraph: 0 pt.
- Space after paragraph: 6 pt.
- Alignment: justified
- Abstract’s word limit: 150-250 words
- Number of keywords: 3-5, initially capitalized, separated by a comma
- Captions: below figures, above tables, Calibri, 11 pt., regular
- References: hanging indentation, 1 cm, Calibri, 11 pt., regular
7. The manuscripts submitted to TIR should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition.
